As a Licensed Professional Counselor with Family Strategies, I have several years of experience in both individual and group counseling. My training has been focused in the areas of addiction, childhood trauma, family of origin dysfunction, and various compulsive sexual behaviors. I am also trained to work with partners and family members of people struggling with addictions and various sexual issues.

I received Master of Arts degrees in both Counseling and Theological Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. Previously, I worked at The Meadows as a Family Therapist, and as a Trauma Therapist in their Survivors program. In addition to my role as Assistant Executive Director at Family Strategies, I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Behavioral Health and Social Sciences program at Arizona Christian University. I have two decades of experience working with individuals and families as well as facilitating therapy groups for those struggling with sexual addictions and compulsions and their partners.

I understand the nature of addiction and the challenges of seeking counsel for issues that are difficult to discuss with persons of whom you have no prior knowledge. I seek to provide an environment that encourages both emotional and spiritual healing as I understand that, for many, faith is an important part of any recovery and healing process. I understand the concerns of many faith traditions within the Christian faith and have also explored the intersection of faith and mental health.

As a part of the Family Strategies team, I have been associated with a national network of therapists in assisting sexual addicts and their families through the recovery process. For over 15 years, I have worked with hundreds of individuals in the SABR program which understands and treats the sexual addiction and related betrayal issues. I seek to understand the unique nature of each individual within this process.

My hope is that you find Family Strategies to be helpful and encouraging as you move toward healing and recovery. I pray you find hope and greater faith as a result of this process.
