Dr. Kim Buck, PhD, LPC, CCS, CSAT

Executive Team Member

Areas of Specialty:

Making the decision to see a counselor is not an easy one, and I honor the courage it takes to do it. As finding beauty in the – sometimes messy – human experience is not always easy, I believe it’s one of the most sacred journeys we take. Being on that journey with others and witnessing healing is both humbling and inspiring.

To give a little background, I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. My therapeutic approach is integrative and holistic with a mixture of several different modalities and specialties I tailor to meet each client’s individual needs. I have a PhD in the area of human sexuality, I am a certified sex addiction therapist (CSAT), a certified clinical sexologist (CCS), and an approved supervisor for the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. At Family Strategies Counseling Center, I am an executive team member providing supervision, mentoring, and training to interns and associate level counselors seeking professional licensure. I am available for consultation, public presentations, and education on the topics in my areas of specialty. I helped form and gratefully serve as a clinical consultant to the HOPE Mental Health Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that provides funding for specialized mental health services to underserved populations in Arizona.

My husband and I have been married for 32 years and together we have two adult married kids and a couple of grand-pups. I can’t get enough of traveling, gardening, laughing, reading, cookie baking, and every October, going to as many haunted houses as I can with my thrill-seeking family!
