One of life’s great tragedies is facing your grief journey feeling alone and misunderstood.  I see myself as an experienced guide helping along your grief trek, someone who will accompany you through the dark hours, long days, and tumultuous emotions.

I specialize in traumatic grief and loss and am trained as a Compassionate Bereavement Care Certified Provider (CBCCP) specifically for traumatic grief/loss.  I help you, the bereaved, find deeper personal peace and increased emotional well-being after tragedies such as accidents, cancer, the loss of a spouse or child, multiple losses in a short period of time, miscarriage, stillbirth, and/or SIDS.  Those seeking counseling can find help coping, as together we embrace personal exploration and deepened insight within a safe, non-judgmental environment. My focus for relief and wellness is a faith-based, Christian perspective.

I can also help you, your spouse, and your family with additional challenges associated with trauma grief and loss, such as anxiety, depression, marital conflict, and familial discord.

On a personal note, I am influenced by good family members including four adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and eight living grandchildren.  One son died of leukemia early in life and a granddaughter was born at rest. My mother died of brain cancer and my father passed away from multiple sclerosis complications.  I have also experienced personal relational loss, the deaths of adult cousins and friends, and coping with major life traumas. This tempering contributes life experience to my professional training and skills.

“Grief never ends… but it changes.  It’s a passage, not a place to stay.  Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith…  It is the price of love.” – Unknown
